As seen in Homes & Antiques Magazine, our Solid Brass Dragonfly Door Knocker features wings that are intricately detailed which hover over the door. The door knocker is hinged at the end of the tail whilst the head of the dragonfly is used to knock onto the striking plate. This door knocker would look at home on the door of a cottage, town house or modern home.

Fixing Information: This dragonfly door knocker can be attached to the door with the 2 bolts that are supplied. Please note, a hole will need to be drilled all the way through your chosen door to fit this door knocker. The fixings are approximately 9.5cm apart and this door knocker is suitable for wooden, PVCu and composite doors.

Is this door knocker suitable for a composite PVCu door?
Yes, our dragonfly door knocker can be fitted to composite PVCu doors as well as wooden doors. However, we recommend that you check with the door manufacturer as fitting a door knocker may void the warranty.
Will this door knocker age over time?
This dragonfly door knocker is manufactured from solid brass and features an unlacquered finish, meaning that over time this door knocker will age naturally and take on a duller finish. To maintain this door knockers polished finished, we recommend that every 3 to 6 months you clean it using suitable brass polish, for example, Brasso.
Are the fixings supplied with this door knocker?
Yes, we provide two bolts and nuts with this door knocker that can be used to fix it your door. The bolts are not visible once fitted, however the bolt nut will be visible on the inside of your door. The nut is made from solid brass and matches the brass dragonfly finish.
How do I fit this dragonfly door knocker?
This door knocker can be fixed to the front of your door using the two bolts and nuts provided. This method of fixing results in two bolts being visible on the inside of your door. To fit this door knocker; mark on your door where you’d like the bolts to be with a pencil, drill two holes to the same diameter as the bolts, then thread the bolts into the door knocker and place through the door. Once in position, attach the nuts to the end of the bolts on the inside of the door and tighten until the door knocker is firmly attached.
